Open a UBL or Peppol invoice and read it

What you see

• Invoice or credit note number, issue date, due date and delivery date
• Seller and buyer with address and VAT ID
• Every invoice line with quantity, unit, unit price, VAT rate and net amount
• VAT breakdown per category and rate, with exemption reasons
• Totals: net, VAT, gross, prepaid and amount due
• Payment details: IBAN, BIC and payment reference, plus notes from the seller

The arithmetic is checked as well: if net + VAT does not equal gross, or the lines do not add up, the invoice is flagged.

How to open a UBL invoice

1. Drop the .xml file above (several files or a ZIP work too).
2. Click the invoice number in the table.
3. Use “Print / save as PDF” to keep a readable copy.

Which files work?

Any UBL 2.1 Invoice or CreditNote: Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, XRechnung (UBL), Croatian eRačun, NLCIUS, EHF and OIOUBL. Files wrapped in a Peppol envelope (SBDH) are unwrapped automatically. UN/CEFACT CII files and ZUGFeRD/Factur-X PDFs open the same way.
