StatementSheet

Turn camt.053 and MT940 bank statements into Excel

Drop the XML (camt.053, camt.052, camt.054) or MT940 statement files from your bank, or a ZIP of them. Every transaction appears in one readable table with counterparty, IBAN and payment reference, and you export it to Excel or CSV.

How it works

1. Download from your bank

In online banking, export your account statements as camt.053 (XML) or MT940. Many banks also offer a ZIP of several days or months.

2. Drop the files

Every transaction appears with booking date, amount, counterparty name and IBAN, and the payment reference. Each statement is checked: opening balance + transactions = closing balance.

3. Export

One Excel file with a Transactions sheet (one row per transaction, all fields) and a Statements sheet (balances per statement), ready to filter, pivot or import.

Supported formats

camt.053

ISO 20022 bank-to-customer statement, all versions from .001.02 to .001.13, including batch bookings split into single transactions.

Intraday account reports and debit/credit notifications in the same structure.

MT940 / MT942

SWIFT text statements, with German structured field 86 (SEPA EREF/MREF/SVWZ) and Dutch /NAME/REMI/ style details.

Questions

Are my bank statements uploaded anywhere?

No. The files are read by JavaScript inside your browser and never leave your device. The only network requests are for the page itself and, when needed, open-source ZIP and Excel libraries from cdnjs. You can load the page, disconnect from the internet and then drop your files.

What is camt.053?

camt.053 is the ISO 20022 XML format banks use for end-of-day account statements. It is gradually replacing the older SWIFT MT940 text format. It is made for accounting software, so opening it directly shows nested XML.

What is in the Excel file?

A Transactions sheet with one row per transaction: file, account, booking and value date, signed amount, currency, credit/debit, counterparty name, IBAN and BIC, remittance information, structured reference, end-to-end ID, mandate and creditor ID, bank transaction code and bank reference. A Statements sheet lists every statement with opening and closing balance, money in, money out and a balance check.

Can I combine several accounts or months?

Yes. Drop as many files as you like, from different banks and accounts. Every row carries its account, so you can filter or pivot by account.

Who is behind StatementSheet?

Tomislav Hofman, a software engineer in Osijek, Croatia. Payments are handled by Polar as merchant of record, which also issues your VAT invoice.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If Pro does not work for you, email us within 14 days for a full refund.
